IT'S ABOUT TIME
Recently TIME Magazine did an interview with Donald Trump and the title of my monthly newsletter is "It's about Time." Here I want to highlight a few big concerns for me that it's about time we gave serious consideration to. IT'S ABOUT TIME WE . . .
got money out of politics.
reckoned with wealth inequality in this country.
put the planet, people and all life above power and profit.
recognized our common humanity and our common home, and that “our only real wealth is the health of our planet.” (Wendell Berry)
stepped out of our addictive consumer culture which is destroying the planet.
acknowledged that we can’t keep growing our economy as we define it now on a finite planet with limited resources.
realized there is no such thing as “away.” (We can’t simply throw things away on this planet.)
we call out polluting corporations, like Coca Cola, for greenwashing their products. We need regulations to minimize or do away with any pollution.
